Due to an oversight, the Dubois County Airport Authority in Huntingburg, Indiana lost their previous website. They hired IdeaFusion to complete a new website design for them.
Project Goal: Professional Website Design
The goal of this project was to create a professional website that the clients could maintain themselves. I accomplished this by installing the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). Installing WordPress keeps the cost down for the customer by allowing them to perform basic updates to the site themselves, instead of hiring someone to do it.
Most Challenging Aspect
The most challenging part of this design was creating a “child theme” for WordPress. I’m proud of the fact that I was able to figure it out on the first go-round. I have run into several sites since that did NOT have a child theme configured. This caused a lot of problems for those clients because updating the theme would break any customization made to the site’s “style” code.

Since this was my first WordPress site, I was especially proud that the client came away happy with the results of our partnership.
